The Art Khu Quartet

Arthur Khu is a world-renowned pianist whose remarkable virtuosity and artistry draw

inspiration from jazz legends like Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea, as well as

classical composers such as Chopin and Debussy. He's also a prolific composer whose style

blends Wayne Shorter's post-bop sensibilities with elements of Brahms and Rachmaninoff.

Collaborating with some of California's finest musicians, his music is always intense, emotional,

and driving.

Art Khu: A Seasoned Jazz Artist with a Symphony of Experience

Art Khu is a multifaceted musician who has carved a niche for himself in the music world with his exceptional talent on a variety of instruments. His journey began at a young age, and over the years, he has honed his skills on the piano, organ, guitar, and bass, blossoming into a vibrant career spanning over 35 years. His dedication to music is evident not only in his performances but also in his educational background and compositional endeavors.

Funkified retro classics and modern hits, served under low lights with a cocktail in hand. Think Chaka Khan, TLC, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and the kind of basslines that make sitting down feel like a bad decision.

FUNK EDITION is led by award-winning singer-songwriter Joyce Lee (lead vocals/keys) and 2× Latin Grammy winner Mike Lazarus (bass), with multi-instrumentalist and jazz professor Simon Keyser Petty and Joe Londeree (drums).

This ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Quintette du Hot Club de France. The HCSF borrows the instrumentation of violin, bass, and guitars from the original Hot Club while breathing new life into the music with innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions from the group’s superb lead guitarist, Paul Mehling. With a swinging rhythm section, the group never fails to surprise and delight.

With a little bit of brass, and a whole lot of rhythm, the Twist and Disco tell the story of a groove that stirred in Memphis and exploded in Detroit-- bounced off of post-war London to crash at Studio 54. You might hear Barry, Presley, Wonder, Jagger, Withers, Gaye or Gibb; anything that covers the two breakneck decades between the birth of The Backbeat and the rise of Four-on-the-Floor.

Iya Lingua is led by trilingual vocalist and percussionist Morgan Simon, who joins us fresh from Cuba where she was a featured artist at the 41st Havana International Jazz Fest (Jazz Plaza). A review of her recent LATAM tour noted, "Unlike anyone I've ever seen, Simon sings with her soul without ever needing to close her eyes."
