Iya Lingua will have you up and dancing with a unique blend of classic swing, Brazilian samba, Cuban salsa and American soul music. Iya Lingua is led by trilingual vocalist and percussionist Morgan Simon, who joins us fresh from Cuba where she was a featured artist at the 41st Havana International Jazz Fest (Jazz Plaza). A review of her recent LATAM tour noted, "Unlike anyone I've ever seen, Simon sings with her soul without ever needing to close her eyes."
Kamrin Ortiz brings his six piece band to Local Edition with his 1940’s and 50’s style Rhythm & Blues and Jazz originals.
This ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Quintette du Hot Club de France. The HCSF borrows the instrumentation of violin, bass, and guitars from the original Hot Club while breathing new life into the music with innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions from the group’s superb lead guitarist, Paul Mehling. With a swinging rhythm section, the group never fails to surprise and delight.

blends Wayne Shorter's post-bop sensibilities with elements of Brahms and Rachmaninoff.
